Camp Hilltop is located at the western end of the
beautiful Catskill Mountains. The rolling hills and
green pastures make Camp Hilltop a perfect setting
for a children's camp. Hilltop is easily reached by
NY Route 17. We are just 2 1/2 hours from New York
City and 3 hours from Philadelphia.
We have provided written directions from the New
York City, Philadelphia, New Jersey and Rochester
area below. If you prefer you can map out
driving directions using Microsoft Map Point by
clicking the map below.
Please note that if you are
using any other direction website or a navigational
system there is NOT one address for Camp Hilltop
that works in all systems.
The directions provided on our web site are
the best way to get you to camp.
Camp Hilltop's mailing address does not work
in most systems.

DIRECTIONS FROM NEW YORK CITY
Take the GW Bridge and stay in the right lane. Get
on the Palisades Pkwy and follow to Exit 9W (NY
Thruway). Follow NY Thruway to Exit 16 (Harriman).
Get on 17 West and follow to Exit 87 (NOT 87A). At
the end of the exit ramp make a right turn onto
County Route 67/Sands Creek Road. Follow for 8
miles. You will see a large red barn on left and
lake on right. Make a left turn into drive after the
red barn. Welcome to Camp Hilltop!
DIRECTIONS FROM PHILADELPHIA AREA
Take the Northeast Extension to Exit 115 and get on
Route 81 North. Take Route 81 North to Exit 187
(Route 6 East) Carbondale. It is also called the
Governor Robert Casey Highway. Route 6 starts out as
a 3-lane highway and goes down to a regular 2-lane
road. Follow Route 6 to the first traffic light in
Waymart. At the traffic light make a left turn onto
Route 296. Follow 296 to the stop sign, about 6
miles and make a right onto Route 247. Follow 247
through two stop signs, it is a long way between the
two stop signs, you are not lost. At the third stop
sign make a right on Route 370. Follow 370 to stop
sign, about 15 miles. At the stop sign make a left
onto Rt. 191 and follow over the bridge and railroad
tracks. Make left after tracks and follow around to
stop sign. You will see McDonalds, Make left and
follow about ½ mile. Make a right on County Route
67/Sands Creek Road. Follow for 8 miles. You will
see a large red barn on left and lake on right. Make
a left turn into drive after the red barn. Welcome
to Camp Hilltop!
DIRECTIONS FROM NEW JERSEY
Follow either Parkway North or Rt. 287 North to the
end and get on the NY Thruway. Take NY Thruway to
Exit 16 (Harriman). Get on Rt. 17 West and take to
Exit 87, (NOT 87A). At the end of the exit ramp make
a right turn onto County Route 67/Sands Creek Road.
Follow for 8 miles. You will see a large red barn on
left and lake on right. Make a left turn into drive
after the red barn. Welcome to Camp Hilltop!
DIRECTIONS FROM ROCHESTER AREA
Follow Rt. 390 South to Rt. 17 East. Take Rt. 17
East to Exit 84. At the end of exit ramp make a left
onto Route 8 & 10 (one in the same). Follow for 3
miles and make a right onto Route 10 at the Blinking
light. Follow Rt. 10 for 6 miles and make a right
onto County Route 67, also a sign - Hancock 9 miles.
Follow County Route 67 uphill one mile and down for
1/2 mile. Lake on left, Grey house and Red barn on
right. Make right into drive just before the barn.
