A Change In Camp Meds
Travels to Scotland
Melissa flew to Scotland in January for the annual camp job fair. She had the opportunity to meet several very talented, enthusiastic and excited future Hilltop staffers while reconnecting with those from Hilltop’s past and present. Those she had the wonderful opportunity to see were Louise Tait, Kelly Puggmurr, David Chalmers, Neil and Sara Thompson, Neil Henry, Leila Eid, Jenna Kyhl, Steven Pierce, Gary Best, Gavin Melville, Raymond and Hannah and their son, Calan. There are many staff we’ve chatted with, they are doing great but missing Hilltop.
New Program Building Update
The progress on the building has been phenomenal as we have an incredible crew working on it led by Scott. A lot of attention has been paid to detail and efficiency of the program areas that will now be utilizing the facility. Below are a few of the unfinished rooms.
Hilltop Camper Performs in the Nutcracker
Jovanna Fazzini
performed the lead child role of "Clara"
in the Eglevsky Ballet's production of
"The Nutcracker" around Christmastime,
at the
Tilles Center for the Performing
Arts which is the major professional
venue on Long Island. She was also
interviewed in November with the
artistic director of the company and
another colleague for the Cablevision
program "Artscene on Long Island" with
Shirley Romaine, which was a 30 minute
TV program. The Eglevsky Ballet is
the only professional ballet company on
Long Island. Check out their

Counselor Update

Jenna yhl has been traveling abroad and enjoying every moment but her summer belongs to Hilltop as she will be returning again as the Horseback Riding Director, yeah. Kelly Puggmurr is working really hard to build a career as a professional photographer. She is living in New Castle and sees Holly Blair, Mark Lawson, Natalie Anderson, and Phil Offord regularly. We wish Kelly much success with her new venture. David Chalmers ('05 & '06) will be returning to Hilltop and is looking forward to being your Director of Special Days and Evening Program. David is very talented in this area and will add flair to your summer. |
Leila Eid is and has been in Scotland for awhile teaching horse riding. Here are some of the other staff members returning to Hilltop - Hooray: Gary Best as the Ropes Director; Sarah King as the Arts and Crafts Director; Sara Yablonsky as boat drivers and waterfront; Holly Blair; Laura Dunn; Brittany Goulding & Jerilyn Rogalski as Waterfront Directors; Steven Pearce in sports; Ben Sullivan as Trips Director; Kris Harris (BC) Head Counselor and CIT Director.
We are very excited and looking

opportunities the staff of 2008
will be providing for our
campers. We have worked
dilligently to find the top
staff to make 2008 your best
summer.
